Morning Set-Up: Tea First, Everything Else After
I like to start my day with a cup of tea - more of a ritual than a necessity! I lead the New Product Launches & Strategic Initiatives teams at ClarusONE, and because we work with so many different internal teams, Members, and Suppliers, no two days ever look the same. My mornings usually begin with a quick mental run-through and preparation for the day's meetings before I even peek at my inbox.
Team Check-In: Lining Things Up
Next up is a catch-up with my team to see how we're tracking against our priorities for the next couple of weeks. This can be anything from gearing up for blockbuster new product launches to pushing forward improvement projects - like sharpening our analytics or strengthening the systems that help us collaborate more smoothly with colleagues, Members, and suppliers.
Lunch Break: Fresh Air, Food & Good Company
When I'm in the office, lunch is one of my favourite parts of the day! We usually head out together, and Café 49 is a consistent crowd-pleaser. Lunch-breaks are a great way to connect with colleagues I don't work with every day - it's nice to just chat, laugh, and get to know people beyond our projects.
Catch-Ups: Keeping Things Moving
Each side of lunch often involves chats with folks from Supplier Relations, Member Engagement, Product Management or Analytics & Insights. We'll talk through active projects, swap updates, or prep for upcoming workshops with the ClarusONE Leadership Team. It's a good way to stay aligned and make sure things don't bottleneck.
Late Afternoon: Deep Work Mode
I try to carve out dedicated focus time towards the end of the day. This is when I review team input, shape materials for cross-functional workshops, or draft commercial documents. It's the quieter, more concentrated part of my day where the bigger thinking happens.
Making a difference.
What I enjoy most about working at ClarusONE is knowing that the work we do can make a real difference in the everyday lives of people dealing with conditions like diabetes, heart disease, asthma, cancer, and more. When our projects help improve access to affordable medicines, it's not just an abstract idea - it means someone can manage their chronic illness without choosing between treatment and other essentials. That scale of impact, thanks to the reach of our Members - McKesson & Walmart - keeps me very motivated. On top of this, my work is interesting, challenging, and constantly evolving. Having wonderful and supportive people to navigate all of it with makes the journey not just fulfilling, but fun!
